REQUIREMENTS AND DOCUMENATION TO PURCHASE A FIRARM IN CALIFORNIA

• Valid picture driver licenses or California ID
• Hand California gun safety certificate
• Proof of residency (auto registration is often used)
• Proof of lock purchase with gun
  (new gun purchases include lock)
• Federal valid government issued ID**
• Proof of residency (Driver License or car registration)*

*Proof of residency is were you physically live and were the gun is registered. PO Boxes are not acceptable.
** What is acceptable to the state (DOJ) may not be acceptable to Federal Gov. (ATF)

If you do not possess a California, you must pass a gun safty exam. This exam can be taken at Bay Area GunVault.
